Post strong come back in the month of October, the benchmark continued its northward move wherein 17900-18000
zone acted as a sacrosanct support zone. We had a gradual move wherein any declines were strongly bought into to
reclaim 18500 on the final day of November series. Eventually, we concluded yet another series in green with the gains
of almost five percent, which is the highest close for the financial year 2022.
During the series, we observed good amount of long addition in both the key indices and majority of them have been
rolled over too. Rollover in Nifty and BankNifty stood at 82% and 88% respectively, which is clearly above the three-
month average figures. Stronger hands started November series with the index futures ‘Long short Ratio’ of 59% and
now it has jumped up to 77% as they preferred carrying forward bullish bets formed during the series. On net basis,
they bought equities to the tune of Rs. 10,989 crores after being net sellers for last two consecutive months.
The banking index was the major contributor in the recent run, huge positions got piled up and interestingly the open
interest has surged 74% series on series, which is indeed a positive development. Considering the above data points,
we expect continuation of the ongoing rally in the coming series as well, we believe hitting record highs should not be
daunting task now. Traders are advocated to trade with positive bias and continue focusing on thematic moves.
